The Photographer's Eye - Michael Freeman
Here is a photography book which does not cover the technical details of photography, but the much more important topics of composition and design. I have read this book. Michael covers all aspects like frame dynamics, design basics, graphic & photographic elements, light and colour and many other topics. I especially like the Gestalt perception.
You can read a sample of the book at Amazon. Click on this link, and on the Amazon page click on ‘Click to LOOK INSIDE!’.
In the Netherlands you can buy the book at Computer Collectief and other fine book sellers.

Marc, this is my no.1 favourite book on photography. Absolutely changed the way I take pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! I agree with you. I am reading another book "Within the Frame" from David Duchemin. I think that is another great book. I will write something about this book on my blog.
ReplyDeleteThat is my favourite book no 2 actually. :-)
ReplyDeleteDavid did 20 video podcasts after that book, featuring readers images and he actually used two of my images in his discussions in episode 14 and at the end of no 16.
That was his first book and the third is just around the corner as I understand it.
